Frequently Asked Questions

Get in touch via my contact form and check availability. Sometimes I can get booked up 1 to 2 years in advance. If available we can then arrange a free consultation where we can meet or have a call via factime/skype.

A booking fee (£250 for a full day collection) is required to secure my services for your wedding. The balance is then due 6 weeks before the day. This can be paid by BACS and receipts are provided for all payments. The final balance can also be paid in instalments up to your wedding day.

Yes of course. Most of my weddings are based in South Wales but happy to travel throughout the UK and abroad. Travel costs are included for weddings throughout the UK. If a wedding is over 1.5 hours drive from Bridgend then I would usually stay overnight the day before and accommodation costs would apply.

YES – I have public liability and personal indemnity insurance. I also have two camera bodies, back up flash guns, batteries, memory cards etc. Plus all your images are backed up forever offline and online.

After the initial meeting you are welcome to email, facetime, skype or call me with any questions you may have. After all I am going to be with you on the biggest days of your lives so it’s nice to become friends and get to know each other and this is how you build your trust in me to capture your day. If the venue is local then I am happy to meet up have a walk around and have a chat about the final details of your day.

My all day coverage is around 10 – 12 hours but sometimes it can be longer, depending if your party is rocking. Your coverage is natural, uninterrupted photography telling the story of your day. This means making sure they have time to enjoy the day, mingle with their guests, soak in the atmosphere, have a few group photos and enjoy each other’s company with a timeout shoot which includes some creative portraits. I capture the story as it unfolds – from the final wedding preps to the dancing in the night.

Don’t worry and enjoy the day as it happens. As long as there is some space at the venue for group photos we still go outside for the couple portraits. I always advise the bride to bring a change of shoes or even wellies so you can go outside and not worry about your shoes getting dirty. Whilst the both you are dry under an umbrella I usually get soaking wet whilst capturing some beautiful natural moments. If you don’t want to go outside then I use the venue’s rooms to shoot the portraits in.

I aim to deliver the full wedding gallery to you within 2 to 4 weeks (longer in high season). Whilst I am editing your pictures I put a few sneak peaks up on my Facebook page just to build the excitement.

I have been very fortunate that over the last 20 years I have never not covered a wedding. But in an extreme situation where this might happen I have the support of a large network of professional photographers who will be able to cover your wedding.

As part of my service I will run  trough the timings with you for the day. Making sure there is enough time for couple portraits, group photos and most important time for you to enjoy every moment with your friends and family.

Yes I provide beautiful 12 x 12 albums in a range of cover finishes and styles. You can either purchase the album collection at the time of booking or if you select the digital collection then you can purchase an album any time after your wedding.

I also offer the a voucher service where family and friends can purchase vouchers to a certain value which you can then put towards the cost of an album.

Yes I provide full resolution digital files for you to print or share. These are for personal use only. If a venue or publication approaches you for use of your images then the venue or publication has to get in touch with myself for  permission and usage rights.

I choose to work on my own 90% of the time. That way I can blend in with your guests and capture all the natural moments. Nobody wants a group of photographers following them around all day.

If the wedding party is over 120 people or if you would like groom prep coverage, then I do offer a second photographer for different coverage options (Charges apply and you can choose your option at the time of booking).

All parts of the booking are done online. To start the booking process I will email you my photography quote where you can choose what collection you would like plus add any optional extras to that collection. Once you have chosen everything and accepted the quote my contract and invoice will automatically be sent to you. Please fill in and sign the online contract. The invoice will show the total collection price chosen and the booking fee amount required to secure the date.

You then pay the booking fee and advised when paid. I will then confirm that the booking is secured. Your balance is then due 6 weeks before the wedding date or can be paid by installments so you can spread the cost.
