When I met Sarah we got on straight away. We talked about her ideas for the day, what was important to her and Viv, what they do like and what they don’t like. We have a lot in common including loving dogs and the series Peaky blinders and she mentioned she would love to include her dogs and also incorporate a Peaky Blinders theme in her wedding. The wedding took place at Bryn Meadows Spa in South Wales. On the morning of the wedding the groom and groomsmen arrived in a stunning vintage van and looked dapper in their vintage suits and caps.
To top the look off they had Peaky Blinders engraved pocket watches, glasses and embroidered boxer shorts (I won’t show those pics). The venue – Bryn Meadows Spa – was decorated with vintage cups and saucers, vintage picture frames of the family and plenty of empty gin bottles.
A lot of the guests got into the spirit and dressed in stunning vintage dresses and suits. Sarah was very nervous about her day and after telling me a few stories on the morning of her wedding about an accident with the dress (Never trust a bridesmaid with a shower curtain) and her car (something to with a boot overladen with gin), I could see why. This didn’t stop her enjoying every moment and she looked stunning in her vintage bridal dress and married her best friend, even the dogs looked happy. The evening finished off with an amazing mash up first dance starting off with ‘Ho Hey by the Lumineers’ going into ‘the twist’ and finishing off with ‘You never can tell’ from the iconic film Pulp Fiction.
