Hey there! I’m Steve, and I am the owner of Art by Design Photography. I am from Bryncethin in South Wales and for over 20 years now, I have captured countless wedding stories. Nothing makes me happier than celebrating the love and connection shared between couples, family and friends on a wedding day.

As a photographer, I strive to beautifully capture all the special moments without interrupting the flow of things. I want you to enjoy every moment of your day while I take care of the photography aspect. I always make sure to build a good relationship with all my couples so that they may think of me as both a friend and photographer.

Born in Wiltshire and moved to Wales at a young age and I’m very proud to call myself Welsh. A lot of my couples call me a ninja, not sure why, maybe because I’m stealthy and sneak around capturing the photos without being seen or just because I’m a short arse at 5ft 5″.

I love pastries, I should be 20 stone with the way I can put them away. After a trip to Scotland and a very drunken whiskey tasting session, I grew a taste for single malts and I am well known for having a small tipple with Licorice every Wednesday evening.

I am a self-confessed gadget nerd, Film and TV buff. To keep fit I practice martial arts (Wing Chun & Aikido), cycle, weight train and generally try to keep in shape, let’s face it, I’m not getting any younger.

I’m a dog dad of Sammi the Samoyed and Kato the Japanese Spitz. You will always see photos of the two of them appearing on my insta stories and dogs at weddings are a must.

Achievements– I have had the honour of winning ‘Wedding Photographer of the year at the WWA 2018′, rated as one of the top 3 photographers in Bridgend, top 100 in the UK by Your Perfect Wedding Photographer and published in various wedding magazines, online wedding sites, and in the press including the Telegraph.
