I first met Elin and Dom when Dom approached me to capture his proposal on Llansteffan beach in Wales back in 2021. Luckily Elin said yes and two years later they got married at Appuldurcombe House on the Isle of Wight. Appuldurcombe House was a masterpiece of English Baroque architecture, although the house is now mainly a shell, its front section has been re-roofed and glazed, and a small part of the interior recreated. Wedding Ceremonies, receptions and parties can be held in the House or in a marquee on the front lawn. Receptions in the Great Hall of Appuldurcombe House can cope with 120 on round table.
Elin and Dom had this empty space to work with and with the help of venue stylists Wed and Prosper UK, Finishing Touches IW and Inspired Island Events they turned the rooms into the perfect wedding venue with so many personal touches from E & D that were close to their heart. They had thought of everything on the day to make sure everyone had an amazing time. Their wedding included mini golf, garden games, a game of cricket, a visit from the donkey sanctuary, dogs, especially Flora who stole the show, a brass band which Elin actually played in on the day, space hoppers and so much more.
