Tall Johns House Wedding

Jess & James’ Colourful Tall Johns House Wedding

Jess and James told me before their wedding:

“We’re having roughly 80 guests all day and night. We’re loud and clumsy and love having fun. We don’t want traditional or elegant, we’re hoping for colourful and lovely!”

And honestly, they absolutely nailed it.

Their Tall Johns House wedding was packed with colour, laughter and the kind of energy you can’t fake. Surrounded by 80 of their favourite people, the day felt relaxed from start to finish, with everyone fully embracing the fun. The beautiful Brecon Beacons setting provided the perfect backdrop, but it was the people who made the day. There were hugs, happy tears, questionable dance moves and plenty of moments that reminded everyone exactly why weddings are worth celebrating.

Jess and James weren’t interested in a traditional wedding day. They wanted something that felt like them, and that’s exactly what they created – colourful, joyful and completely focused on having a great time with the people they love. As a documentary wedding photographer, these are the days I love most. Real moments, real laughter and absolutely no need to take things too seriously.

The celebrations rolled late into the evening before everyone headed outside for an incredible fireworks display. Watching the sky light up over Tall Johns House was the perfect ending to an unforgettable day.

If you’re planning your own Tall Johns House wedding and looking for a wedding photographer who captures the fun, the chaos and everything in between, I’d love to hear from you.
