Wedding Photography Llys Meddyg | Humanist Wedding Wales

Humanist Wedding Photography Llys Meddyg
This was my first time covering a wedding at Llys Meddyg a Grade II listed Georgian coaching house in Newport Pembrokeshire. Llys Meddyg was special to Tammy & Nick as it was where Nick had grown up and was full of wonderful childhood memories. This was a very personal and relaxed humanist wedding in front of their closest family and friends. I love a humanist wedding.

Wouldn’t it be great to start your married life with a ceremony that really means something? To tell your friends and family what your relationship means to you, and why you are choosing to get married?

A humanist, non-religious wedding ceremony gives you the opportunity to marry where you want, when you want and how you want. There’s no set script: it’s too personal an occasion for that. Instead, each wedding is tailored to meet the particular couple’s requirements. You can set the tone that’s right for you and choose your own words and music. This occasion was no different. Josie Lamb(http://humanist.org.uk/josielamb/) was the cool and calm celebrant who took the service in the back garden of Llys Meddyg. Whilst T & N chilled in out in the summer sunshine, friends and family took it in turns to recall stories of this wonderful couple. You could feel the love and friendship emanating around the grounds.  Witty anecdotes were told from how they met to why they are so suited for each other. As a photographer you get to witness some personal moments and it was my great pleasure to be part of their day.

The day was so chilled out and I have so many photographs from this wedding. From the service in the garden (we were so lucky with the weather), portraits in the village, brilliant and hilarious speeches, wonderful food, batman designed suits and crazy dancing in the night. This has to be one of my favourite weddings of 2016. If you’re getting married and fancy a humanist wedding, check it out because it always nice to try something different.
