There are weddings that feel magical and then there’s Dani and Filipe’s. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire, their day was the perfect blend of timeless romance, heartfelt emotion, and grandeur.
As a wedding photographer, Eastnor Castle is the kind of venue that makes your heart skip a beat. Nestled at the foot of the Malvern Hills and surrounded by a tranquil deer park, shimmering lake, and sweeping woodland, it’s a setting that feels straight out of a storybook. From the moment you pass through the castle gates, every corner offers something extraordinary, from the dramatic stone turrets to the intricate interiors filled with rich history and warmth.
The morning began in the castle’s opulent bridal suite, where Dani got ready surrounded by her closest friends and family. Filipe and his groomsmen prepared in one of the castle’s handsome chambers, all excitement and good humour as guests began to arrive below.
The Ceremony in the Gothic Drawing Room
The magnificent 19th-century Gothic Drawing Room was a truly breathtaking setting for their civil wedding ceremony. Designed by the celebrated British architect and designer Augustus Pugin, the space exudes both grandeur and opulence.
With its intricate detailing, rich colours, and breathtaking views of the lake, the Drawing Room is a mesmerising place to exchange vows. Natural daylight streamed through the tall windows, illuminating the couple. It was impossible not to be swept up in the romance and splendour of the moment.
Portraits in the Grounds
After the ceremony, we explored the castle’s stunning grounds for portraits and Eastnor truly delivered. The manicured gardens, sweeping lawns, and serene lakeside views provided endless opportunities for capturing natural, romantic shots.
