Frequently Asked Questions

Do you travel?

Yes of course. Most of my weddings are based in South Wales but happy to travel throughout the UK and abroad. Travel costs are included for throughout the UK. If a wedding is over 1.5 hours drive from Bridgend then I would usually stay overnight the day before and accommodation costs would apply.

Is a deposit/booking fee required?

A booking fee (£400 for a full day collection) is required to secure my services for your wedding. The balance is then due 6 weeks before the day. This can be paid by BACS or cheque and receipts are provided for all payments. The final balance can also be paid in instalments up to your wedding day.

Are you fully insured and do you have backup equipment?

YES – I have public liability and personal indemnity insurance. I also have two camera bodies, back up flash guns, batteries, memory cards etc. Plus all your images are backed up forever offline and online.

How often do we meet before our wedding day?

After the initial meeting you are welcome to email, facetime, skype or call me with any questions you may have. After all I am going to be with you on the biggest days of your lives so it’s nice to become friends and get to know each other and this is how you build your trust in me to capture your day. If the venue is local then I am happy to meet up have a walk around and have a chat about the final details of your day.

How much time do you take covering our wedding?

My all day coverage is around 10 – 12 hours but sometimes it can be longer, depending if your party is rocking. Your coverage is natural, uninterrupted photography telling the story of your day. This means making sure they have time to enjoy the day, mingle with their guests, soak in the atmosphere, have a few group photos and enjoy each other’s company with a timeout shoot which includes some creative portraits. I capture the story as it unfolds – from the final wedding preps to the dancing in the night.

What if it rains?

Don’t worry and enjoy the day as it happens. As long as there is some space at the venue for group photos we still go outside for the couple portraits. I always advise the bride to bring a change of shoes or even wellies so you can go outside and not worry about your shoes getting dirty. Whilst the both you are dry under an umbrella I usually get soaking wet whilst capturing some beautiful natural moments. If you don’t want to go outside then I use the venue’s rooms to shoot the portraits in.

How long after the wedding do we receive our pictures?

I aim to deliver the full wedding gallery to you within 2 weeks (longer in high season). Whilst I am editing your pictures I put a few sneak peaks up on my Facebook page just to build the excitement.
