Anne-Marie & John(Jack) got married on 20th July 2019. The day started off with with bridal preps at a stunning cottage that Ann-Marie had booked on Airbnb, situated in the beautiful area of Hensol. Tucked away in the countryside this cottage was the perfect place to spend time with the bridesmaids and family getting ready for the day ahead.
The ceremony was held at St Illtud’s Church which is located at the heart of Llantwit Major and features spectacular medieval wall paintings and Celtic stones dating back to the 8th century. This was the perfect welsh wedding, with a welsh male voice choir (Bois Goetre-hen) choir, a very friendly reverend and an awesome couple who couldn’t stop smiling all day.
After the ceremony we drove to Fonmon Castle for the reception. Fonmon Castle was built c1200, situated on a rural estate in the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan, just 25 minutes from Cardiff and the M4. The sun was shining, guests sat on the lawn enjoying champagne and listening to music whilst Ann-Marie and John went for a walk around the grounds, firstly to spend some quiet time together and have some natural photographs of the two of them together in their wonderful surroundings. More drinks were drank, speeches were toasted and dancing went on late into the evening.
It was my absolute pleasure to be asked to photograph their wedding and I wish the both of them all the happiness in the future. A big thank you to Andy from ALS Photography for second shooting on the day.
