Mansion House Llansteffan Wedding | Nick and Catrin

Nick and Catrin’s wedding at Mansion House in Llansteffan was the kind of day that perfectly proves you don’t need everything to go exactly to plan for it to be absolutely brilliant. Set in one of West Wales’ most beautiful coastal locations, Mansion House sits proudly above the estuary, offering sweeping views across the cliffs, sea air on tap, and a wonderfully relaxed elegance that feels both grand and welcoming.

The ceremony took place outside, overlooking the dramatic cliffs and on a day when the wind very much decided it wanted to be involved. As Catrin made her way down the aisle, the breeze had other ideas, lifting her veil clean off and sending it straight into her father-in-law’s face. Cue laughter, applause, and a moment that instantly set the tone for the rest of the day: joyful, unfiltered, and full of humour. If ever there was a sign this wedding would be fun, that was it.

Once officially married (veil recovered, dignity mostly intact), Nick and Catrin stole a little time out together for portraits around the beautiful grounds of Mansion House. 

Then it was time to head down to Llansteffan Beach, where things became even more relaxed. Shoes were ditched, champagne was popped, and the newlyweds walked barefoot in the sand, soaking up the coastal air and the fact that this was now their day, forever. The dunes and shoreline made the perfect backdrop for portraits that felt more like a mini adventure than a photoshoot, effortless, windswept, and full of life.

From flying veils to barefoot beach walks, this wedding was a perfect reflection of the couple themselves, warm, playful, and completely unpretentious. Mansion House, Llansteffan provided the ideal setting for a day that embraced the elements, celebrated the moment, and proved that sometimes the unexpected bits are what make a wedding truly unforgettable.
