I’m a wedding photographer based in Bridgend, South Wales. With over 20 years of experience capturing weddings, families, and even the occasional dog, I blend candid, natural moments with artistic, show-stopping couple portraits.
Many couples call me a “ninja”, stealthy enough to capture the day without being seen, and small enough at 5’5″ to sneak into the best spots! I’m not just your photographer. I’m your planner, cheerleader, and best friend on the day, making sure your memories are beautiful, fun, and totally authentic.
Steve is an absolute genius. If we could do it all over again, and only hire one person/vendor for our day, it would be Steve 1000 times over.

Hi, I’m Steve Wheller, a wedding photographer based in South Wales, proud to call myself Welsh. I’m passionate about capturing weddings with a natural, candid style, while also creating artistic, memorable portraits of couples moments that feel real, emotional, and beautiful.
I’ve been photographing weddings, families, and even dogs for over 20 years, covering venues across Wales and the UK. My work has been recognised with Wedding Photographer of the Year at the WWA 2018, a place in the top 100 UK wedding photographers, and features in wedding magazines, online wedding sites, and national press including The Telegraph.
I like to think my personality shines through in my work. I’m friendly, energetic, and a little cheeky, always blending into your day while making sure everyone feels relaxed and has fun. Outside of photography, I love pastries, single malt whisky, martial arts, and spending time with my dogs, Sammi the Samoyed and Kato the Japanese Spitz—you’ll often see them popping up on my Instagram stories and dogs at weddings are always welcome!
